| Skill Details: | Things to do before class: Pre-wash your material (I always do). Fabrics can bleed the first time washed or shrink in the dryer. I’d rather that happen before I sew it all together! |

| Requirements: | Pattern name: Good and Fruity This pattern calls for fabric to make 2 quilts (one for the top and one for the back). The 2 ½ yd white and 2 5/8 yd black are for both quilts so get half if only doing one top. Supplies: Book - Crazy Curves Continues by Elisa Wilson 9 ½” square Straight edge Rotary cutter Mat Thread Pins Scissor Templates (in the back of book) Plastic to make templates Material ¼” foot for sewing machine Sewing machine Class activities: We will cut in class and assemble the blocks and square them up. You might get all the blocks done and some sewed into rows. All will learn and have fun! |

| Instructor Bio: | I grew up in Bemidji. For the last 45 years I’ve lived in Phoenix with my husband and 5 children. I have family in Bemidji, so I visit often, and vacation here in the summer to get out of the Arizona heat. I started sewing when I was about 10 years old. I love fabric. I’ve been doing garment construction, upholstery, general sewing and alterations, and quilting for years. I used to teach classes at JoAnns Fabric. I like to call myself a “fabricologist”. I travel with my sewing machine. I especially love to teach quilting. I really enjoy teaching others and passing on all the tips and techniques I’ve learned. It’s a passion with me. I’ve taught classes ranging all the way from beginners to advanced. A sample of the techniques I’ve done are: simple ½ square triangles, Wacky Star, traditional log cabin, Stars by Magic tops, bargellos, storm at sea patterns, etc. I’ve made quilts ranging in size from coasters, to placemats, to wall hangings, to full size king bed. |
